Gardyloo \`gärd-e-`lü\ interj [perh. fr. F garde à l'eau! Look out for the water!] – used in Edinburgh as a warning cry when it was customary to throw slops from the windows into the streets.

What is it?-Backyard golf is a cocoa game based on my own golf experiences. My golf experiences consist of a "golf course" in my backyard and house area, which is four holes in the ground and a golf club set. But I don't have alligators and stuff outside of my house, so this game isn't completely accurate.
Gameplay-To play, you move the character,(who bears not just a passing resemblance to me,) hit the ball, and try to get it in the hole. Your power level is how far you will hit the golf ball, i.e., a power level of three means you'll hit the golf ball three spaces away. Don't get the ball lost in bushes or other objects (alligators, for example). There are a few puzzle elements, too.
The controlls- The controlls are as follows:
arrow keys- move the player.
4-swing club left
8-swing club up
6-swing club right
2-swing club down
(use the numeric keypad, then it makes sense.)
q,w,e,r,t- set power level
(q=1,w=2,... t = 5)
space- interact, breathe fire
(to interact with an object, stand to the left of it and press space. If you can't interact with it, and you still have some fire power left, you breathe fire.)
The basics-
1.About fire-If you eat a chilli peper, you can spew four mighty fireballs. This sets the landscape on fire and can be dangerous to onlookers. You can burn down bushes or hedges, among other things.
2.About peppers-Chilli peppers are served at your local Pepper Pot concession stand. Just press the spacebar when standing to the left of the guy who's selling them.
3.About onlookers-Onlookers are just that- onlookers. You can hit them with the ball if you're not careful, or with your club, or set them on fire. Just be mindful of them, and watch what you're swinging at.
4.About buildings-Often you will find that the straightest path is through a building. You can't break the windows with the golf ball, though.
5.The bucket o' balls-This is your source of golf balls. Press the spacebar to get another one. (Often your ball will be eaten or lost or something.)
